Question: Quilters…I need help again..TY?
I hope I can explain what I am trying to ask, and make sense haha. As i am a newbie to “quilting” and trying to learn from web sites. And have no “crafty” person to show me the ropes. I am making I guess a “9 Patch” when I am joining say my top 3 to my middle 3. there are little “flaps”. Do they suspose to go in same direction, or opposite directions? I have been sewing them in opposite directions. Sorry I don’t know “Quilting terms” hope I asked that someone can understand me. Thanks for reading this. Hope I didn’t confuse anyone, more than I am confused. Thanks a bunches.

Are you referring to the seam allowance? Usually the instructions will recommend which direction you should press them.
A beginners quilt class at a local fabric store would be very helpful. Classes or joining a quilting guild are great ways to increase quilting knowledge and learn from more experienced quilters. There are always new techniques to be learned.
If you have access to the “Home and Garden Television Network” (“HGTV”) try watching the show “Simply Quilts” with Alex Anderson. Information from that show is also on their web site, I believe it’s HGTV.com
